Two (2) MBLT-4 Corpsmen Revived 7-Year-Old Boy After Drowning Incident in Sibutu

In a critical moment on April 6, 2025, two Marine Corpsmen, Cpl Jerome Roa PN(M) and Pvt All-J-Jhon Cubin PN(M), sprang into action when a 7-year-old child was pulled lifeless from the waters of Sitio Tandu-Owak, Barangay Ligayan, Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi.

With no vital signs, the child was immediately given CPR by Pvt Cubin PN(M) while Cpl Roa PN(M) secured the chaotic scene. Against all odds, the two revived the young boy and rushed him on foot to the battalion advance command post for evacuation to the hospital.

Thanks to their swift action, medical skill, and unwavering presence of mind, the child is now safe and recovering.

Whether by land or sea, the Marines stand to serve as the Most Ready.
